• Details:  An unbelievable find!  This vintage Florida Pennant is from Trench Manufacturing Co, and it is in excellent condition.  The graphics are very Retro Florida, colors are bright and it retains its original tag.  This is a great addition to a pennant, memorabilia or souvenir collection.  Perfect retro coastal decor!

Trench Manufacturing Company of Buffalo, NY was perhaps the most important maker of pennants.  Founded by George A. Trench in 1920, it was in business for 75 years.  In 1958, when George Trench retired, the company was purchased by Robert Storm.  Robert ran the company until 1961, then his son, Thomas Storm ran the company until the 1990's.  After some financial troubles, and desperate for cash, Trench sold its Novelty Division to a Fort Worth company called "Tandycrafts, Inc." in 1994.  Unfortunately, that sale did not result in the survival of the company and on October 4, 1995 Trench was forced into Chapter 11 bankruptcy.  The name "Trench" continued on for a short time as Tandycrafts, continued making pennants. under the brand name “TAG EXPRESS/TRENCH MFG.”  In 2001, the Tag Express brand was acquired by Rico Industries, Inc ending the Trench name forever.
